The 33rd annual Norwalk Seaport Association Oyster Festival September 10th, 11th and 12th. Oyster Fest is a celebration of fun for all ages featuring international headliners and popular regional entertainers, hundreds of arts and crafts booths, environmental displays, children's activities and rides, palate-pleasing food, harbor cruises and other attractions! 2nd Annual Stepping Stones Cycle Step and Stroll
2nd Annual Stepping Stones Cycle Step and Stroll on Saturday, September 19th! Walk, run or bike with your family and friends in the Second Annual Stepping Stones Cycle, Step & Stroll to raise funds and show your support for the museum’s Count me in! Community Campaign. Choose from one of four scenic courses: 1/2 mile and 3.1 mile (5K) family walk/ride, 25 mile intermediate ride, 62 mile (100K) long ride. Registration begins at 6:30am, followed by 7:30am start for 25 and 62 mile rides and 10am start for family rides. For more information, visit steppingstonesmuseum.org.

Sunday, September 19th, is the Darien Road Race, starting at 1pm at Pear Tree Point Beach, Darien. The race route is along scenic waterfront roads in Darien and includes two events: 10K and 1.5 mile “Loop.” Over 400 runners turn out each year, along with hundreds of family and other spectators. The 6th Annual Darien Sport Shop ITPMAN Triathlon, October 2 at Weed Beach, is again filling up fast. The ITP Foundation is calling on the community and local businesses to get behind this event to benefit children with ITP, a rare bleeding disorder. The ITP Foundation, dedicated to battling the rare bleeding disorder ITP (Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura), confirmed that the event will again be held in the neighboring towns of Darien, Rowayton and New Canaan and will follow the same course as last year.
