There nine types of Facebook friends. Which type are you?
1. The "ghost." You log in once in a while, but not often enough to even remember your password.
2. The "extreme makeover." You were hideous in high school, but now you've got "the look" and want everyone from your past to know it.
3. The "snob." You act like your Facebook circle of friends is just as exclusive as your lunch table was back in middle school.
4. The "T-M-I" person. Too much information. You can't help but bore everyone constantly, with stuff only you care about, in your status updates. "Natalie is drying dishes!"
5. The "friend addict." You only know 10 people in real life, but can't resist sending anyone you've ever walked next to a friends request.

6. The "hey, remember me?" person. You met somebody at a party back in 1993, talked for maybe a minute, and now decide to be their best FB-buddy.
7. The "super-fan." If it exists, you're signed up as a fan and tell everyone in your status updates. "John is a fan of Watchmen!" "John is a fan of Macy Gray!"
8. A glory-days lover. Your Facebook profile exists as "a shrine" to the best years of your life, often sorority days in college, your high school football trophies, etc.
9. The "exhibitionist." Women who like putting their skin-pics in photo album after photo album, and men who like showing off their rock-climbing skills.

The Wall Street Journal says many adults and parents are taking it upon themselves to give up their social networking addictions for 40 days this year instead of chocolate, smoking or making some other sacrifice [non-Christians note: Lent is supposed to be a period of fasting, sacrifice and reflection meant to remind you of the 40 days and nights that JESUS spent wandering in the desert].
So with Lent officially beginning tomorrow --if you're gonna stop the social networking for 40 days, you'd better update your site now!
FYI: A report shows the number of Facebook users is growing at about 5 million new members a week.

Quick poll from Crave.com: Would you give up Facebook for 40 days?
--Yes 59.5%
--No 33.1%
--I'm not sure 7.4%
