CHRISTMAS OFFICE PARTY TIPS
Tonight the radio station is having their Christmas Party and hopefully the place where you work is having a party this year. I thought I would give you a few party tips..
An office party gives you the opportunity to celebrate the holidays or other occasion with your co-workers. Have fun, but be careful about having too good a time. Here are some tips to keep in mind.
:
1. Don't drink too much. ... Alcohol lowers your inhibitions and alters your judgment. It can make you do things you may regret.
2. The office party is not a singles bar. An office party gives you a chance to see another side of your co-workers. But don't try to get to know any of them too well. Workplace romances are a minefield. A one night stand with a co-worker can be disastrous.
3. Don't wear suggestive clothing. If you wouldn't wear it to the office, you shouldn't wear it to the office party. More festive? Yes. More revealing? Hey, it's not just a party, it's an OFFICE party.
4. Watch your mouth. People tend to relax at office parties, but that can leave you open to saying something you'll later regret. That means keep the conversation light. No personal stuff, no dirty jokes, no foul language, and don't talk behind anyone's back (unless everyone else is doing it!)
5. Don't bring uninvited guests. Often office parties are for employees only. Don't assume it's okay to bring your significant other unless that's the office plan, and remember, your guest needs to be on their best behavior, too, so bring your spouse.
Have a good time
