At my house many times our dogs get treated better than I do....We have all had to sacrifice a lot during these tough economic times. But our dogs aren't having to give up very much. A poll by the American Kennel Club finds that an overwhelming majority of dog owners still put their dogs first.
More than 96% would give up their daily trip to the coffee shop so their dogs needs could be taken care of.

97% would give up their massages and spa treatments to make sure they had enough money to take care of the dog.

97% would also eat out less often to make sure their canine companion was fed.

94% would buy fewer new clothes.

88% would hold off buying a new car or would opt for a less expensive model in favor of meeting the dog's needs.

72% would give up their gym membership.

50 % would cancel cable or satellite TV to save some money before they'd let their dog go without.

How does your dog or cat do in your house?
